WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
Every day, our halls are filled with music, song and the hope of making a positive impact in the lives of our community. So it’s music to our ears when students, parents, alumni, donors and performers sing the praises of what they experience here. We’re proud of all we’ve achieved, and prouder still of the achievements of those around us. Thank you!
Everyone is so supportive and encouraging, which makes practicing really worth it. Recitals in such a nice place are pretty great, too!
I’m 17 and have been taking lessons here for 10 years. The Conservatory is my musical family and I’m grateful for it, even as I go off to college.
RCM has taught my children life long skills: to persevere; to find success from hard work; and to enjoy the process of learning!
My RCM experience in a nutshell: We sang as waiters at a fundraising gala. We sang at the NY stock exchange tree lighting. We sang in a national choir more than once. I learned how to sing at RCM (and sing well I might add).
The Conservatory helped me find my voice. Literally. As an older singer, I’ve learned how to let go of my fear, relax, and make a song my own. What a great experience.
I believe music improves our community’s quality of life and builds confidence. It is wonderful to have Rockland Conservatory available so close to home.
Music has been central to my life since I was a child. The Conservatory offers THE most open-ended, inviting opportunity to keep that alive.
Playing the violin makes my entire body vibrate with sound.
I wish I hadn’t stopped lessons years ago, but now in my sixties, I’m enjoying every minute. RCM is not just for kids!
RCM has the most committed, fun and loving people ever. It’s been the perfect place for our little ones to nurture their love for music.
Our teacher takes the time to walk us through every part of learning a song. And we love the option of having group or individual lessons.
Sending our daughter to RCM was a wonderful decision. She’s fallen in love with the piano and music and we are excited to see her talents continue to flourish.
